"View New Posts" has been broken for a long time. I recall it not being broken at one point. Is there anything that can be done to save my good friend View New Posts??

Lately, it hasn't been much of a bother (especially since we've streamlined the place), but now there are people posting again, so...

What is it doing for you?

I never use it myself. I just look in sections where Lakitu appears and I find new posts just fine. :U Especially since there are so few sections now.

I tried using it just now after seeing your post JD and it does the same thing to me. To me, there is no need for it since the site is small enough to explore now anyway, like H-gurl says.

Rabble rabble rabble! I have nothing of import to contribute. I am indifferent towards your friend 'View New Posts', JD. Plead a case for it!

Well....I...I just...like it...sometimes...

Not that important anymore, no, but I just thought if something's broken, why not fix it? Not that I have any idea what the cause is.

Hmm... It was working for me yesterday. I guess it only shows new posts in certain areas, maybe the sections that have post count or something. But even then, it should be better than that (it's not showing any for me at the moment). I'll look around the CP a bit.

In the meantime, you could always click the Portal link at the top left of the forum and see the latest updated discussions.

With these free forum softwares like this, we can't do much as far as fixing these problems because it isn't under our control to fix them. This isn't on a FTP that I control so all we would be able to do is maybe send a help ticket to invisionfree.

Just one drawback about using this particular forum type.
