JRRD hasn't had a carbonated drink in 9 days so far so I decided to make a thread for him to keep his progress. >_>
He's been absolutely batshit about drinks like Coke all his life and this is a big step for him. Let's all cheer him on while I take his cravings/rantings in person!
JRRD's thread of fighting addictions!

.....
Thanks. I want a fucking coke right now actually. I might be able to control it if we had other drinks in here. But all we have is orange juice... and that is it. Not even water.
I've been living off ice tea at work which is hard because they have a full service Pepsi fountain station! ARGH!!!
Past few days I have been getting headaches too and I am more irritable.

Jared I'm here any time you need someone to talk to. We'll get you through this.
I mostly got 'off' soft drinks myself, and I wasn't even trying to. I just got hooked on Hawaiian Punch of varying flavors instead, and then after maybe a year of that, iced tea, and finally just water. Now I seem to be going up the other side of the spectrum and am drinking milk, which I used to not be fond of. I still like soda, but not habitually.
Fight the good fight. Your teeth will thank you!

He can drink back Pepsi or Coke like it's nothing without feeling that burning pain. It's horrifying to watch. D:

Go, JRRD, go! You can win! I think that is a very healthy initiative and I wish you much success! Just stay focused! You have discipline of steel, no.. adamantium, right?

I just need to have other things around to drink when I get my cravings. I've drank orange juice most of the day but rather stick to teas. I love tea.
