Basic thread. Have you got or considered getting a tattoo? If so, what kind would you want?

Is it important that said tattoo has a powerful meaning or message to you? Or is it just important for it to look cool?

Also, black? Or coloured? And where would you consider getting it?

1) If I could have a tattoo that wasn't permanent but lasted a LONG time (and painless), I'd so get Shanoa's arm and back tattoos. In an instant.

2) I'll probably end up getting my own original wing design on a shoulder blade or something. I'd prefer to have something unique from my own head, but meh. I dunno if I'd ever go through with it since I'm scared of pain. :U

I prefer black and white instead of color. I wouldn't do anything elaborate.

The pain thing is what's stopping me too. >_> Not to mention designs, finding a good artist, and then how much it'll cost.

I found this design that I totally want to use and build on. But I dunno if I want it black or coloured. I decided I wanted to go with a Phoenix early on. Basically to symbolise that I've had two lives. That in the States, and then I kinda rose from the ashes when I moved to Australia. I guess it could also kinda symbolise rebuilding from the destruction of the floods too.

I found this on on deviantart, and thought it suited me. It seems quite musical, but still the design of a phoenix. And since my life has had a fair bit of music in it, I thought it was a bit perfect.

I'm thinking either shoulder or weirdly enough, thigh. I'd love to put it on my arm, but my arm is a little too thin.

Think I should try and colour it or keep it black?

What colors did you want with it? I'd say black is the safe option, but color can make it look even better if done right.

Also, thigh would be a really good place for that design. :D

I originally thought a red/orange/yellow combination, but now I'm actually leaning more towards purple and a lighter shade of blue. But I don't know, and I'm so crappy at imagining these things that I can't come up with how it should be done.

I'd go with black if only for the fact that the color would fade over time and it probably wouldn't look as good. That and black is gorgeous on it's own. <3

You're probably right there. :) I dunno when/if I'll ever get it, but the hard part is done. The choosing. hehe
