I'll just keep a running list of what's been going on lately:
Trip to Japan - Blog
Trip to Florida
An Cafe Concert (Anaheim, CA)
Senior Prom - Pictures
The password to my pictures is 'kate-japan'.
I'll post when new things come up; there's already a big one for this summer. I'm going to Canada for 13 days and seeing the Incubus concert up in Toronto~

The Incubus concert was lucky because my brother had mentioned them starting a new tour and my dad proposed it being our Easter present. It just so happened the dates coincided with the time he wanted us to go to Canada so yeah~
And I might be driving by the end of the summer! Not that I want to... but I'll have to if I'm attending UNLV since I'll have no transportation otherwise unless I want to use the bus.

And driving is fine! I was scared to drive in Vegas myself but just like you, I had to decide between driving or taking the bus to school. Except I've been driving since I was 16. D: Either way, it's not bad. It's actually pretty fun. ^_^

I did win third place in our Japanese Club's Speech Contest though, so pretty happy about that~
If anyone's interested in seeing what I talked about I posted the written speech here at my Japanese blog. I'm still debating on if I want to upload the video or not since the quality isn't too good.

So I'm officially done with college this semester! I'm sure I passed every class, though I probably could have gotten higher grades if it weren't for me concentrating on senior year.
My graduation's coming up really fast; June 12th at the Orleans. If anyone would like me to send them an announcement I'd be more than happy to~
In other news my birthday party is this weekend so I'll be posting up what happens then too. ^^

And congrats at completing that shithole called college! And send a announcement my way when you can!

I was wondering if you were able to translate a line for me! I can recognize "Cloud" but that's all since I lost any knowledge I had of any kanji. If you dunno, that's fine with me!
クラウドは女の友人であり、恋人であり??大切なものの象徴であり、守るべき存在だった。

Hm... I'm not exactly familiar with those forms since it seems very casual but from the gist of it I'm guess it's something along the lines of:
"Cloud has a female friend; a lover-- although they're precious to him, his whole being is dedicated to protecting."
I don't know if that makes much sense taken out of the context you were looking at but that's what I got to the best of my ability~ ^^
And Nightstalker; I can't send you an announcement unless I have your address so e-mail it to me if you still want one.
Oh and Heather and Jared; you guys are welcome to attend my graduation if you want. There are plenty of tickets since our class isn't too big even with all three campuses combined. ^^

I promise I'll post more after it's done with though, not to mention finish all of those art requests I have piled up. ><
Oh and I have a bunch of extra tickets to my actual graduation if you're free Friday at noon~ ^^

Anyway, just thought I'd report on the Incubus concert real quick since I have a bit of time! I don't think I'll go into any details now but I do have the setlist for anyone interested:
01 Pardon Me
02 Nice to Know You
03 Anna Molly
04 Stellar
05 Megalomaniac
06 Circles
07 Love Hurts
08 Just a Phase
09 Drive (Acoustic)
10 Talk Shows on Mute (Acoustic)
11 Dig (Acoustic/Remix)
12 Redefine
13 A Certain Shade of Green
14 Oil and Water
15 Quicksand
16 A Kiss to Send Us Off
17 Wish You Were Here
18 Aqueous Transmission
Encore
19 Punch Drunk
20 A Crow Left of the Murder
21 Let's Get Crazy (Prince Cover)
It was an amazing concert even though I had pretty far back seats. I even managed to get into some special after party room thanks to buying with American Express. XD (Even though the drinking age and everything is 19. <<; ) But nevertheless it was still awesome and I'm so glad I was lucky enough to get into this show. They played all of their great hits that I only dreamed of hearing live~ And a few surprise songs I would have never guessed! Though I wasn't impressed by the sort of lack of energy from the crowd... but by the end everyone was so drunk they were having a plenty good time. ^^;

Anyway! Since I've been posting this mini-recap everywhere I figured I'd post it here as well. Just a few highlights of the Anime Vegas 2009 convention. I will write full reports with videos and a few pictures soon since it's fresh in my mind. Quite a few of these highlights deserve explaining too but just about everything I got on camera~ ^^
Day 1 - Saturday, September 5th
+ Getting random hugs in my Tsubaki cosplay
+ Tanya's awesome Stein screw (it clicked when you turned it <3)
+ Awesome afro bassist in Rusika [Band Night]
+ Satsuki and his adorable Japanese polite-ness
Day 2 - Sunday, September 6th
+ Yuri Lowenthal being kissed by Steve Blum *dies*
+ Brad Swaile's amazing Light/Kira laugh and hilarious cover-up mask
+ Our amazing Persona group for our skit~ <3
+ Random raving during the half time show at the masquerade
+ Won Judge's Choice Award in the Cosplay Masquerade!
Day 3 - Monday, September 7th
+ Steve Blum doing an epic death cry for me (favorite death: slit throat = pure win!)
+ Having my cosplay recognized by Marianne Miller and talking Soul Eater with her
+ Hearing a death cry from Jonathan Osbourne; the man of 1,000 deaths!
+ Getting Brad Swaile to say "I am Gundam" and his classic Harry Champ line "Some day I'm gonna be king!"
Voice actors and industry professionals are oh so much fun to talk to and hang out with. And now I know that New Generation Pictures is actually working on the localization and probably the voice recording of Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers. I have a faint feeling of who a lot of the voice actors will be if that's the case but I don't know how heavily the game is voiced so we'll see~
EDIT: Our skit videos are also up online: this one is the lower quality which I recorded but you can hear the audio better. And this is the higher quality where you can see more of what's going on on stage.
