I really need the support of everyone right now, I know it's kind of silly and selfish but if you all just even read this it'll mean a lot to me...

My best friend of almost over seven years now, Tanya, is currently with her family in Thailand. For those of you who may or may not know Thailand has been in a state of political unrest for some time now. Just recently the situation has turned into all out chaos and my best friend is almost stuck in the middle of it. However I do not ask you to worry about her; trust me I'm doing plenty, if you could just please do me this one simple but huge favor...

Please keep my best friend and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Not until June 4th, so two weeks... though at this rate I'm not sure. It was at it's worst it's been yesterday so that could mean things will get better but all I can do is go by the news and whatever she tells me when she can.

I will definitely do so. My girlfriend's best friend is also in Thailand, and we're all worried about her too. I hope everyone is safe and gets home soon <3 <3 <3

I got an e-mail from her this morning saying things are starting to really cool down over there. The fires have almost all been put out, TV's starting to run normally again with fewer emergency messages, and the malls and shops are opened up again. The curfew that had been set in place will also be lifted a few more days as things pick up so the worst it over~

I wish I had my Bachelor's now... so, so, sooo very badly. I can't get into any teaching abroad programs without it and it's killing me. But what's harder to deal with is deciding on a good university to go to now. I have close to no preferences other than absolutely never attending UNLV and that I can continue Japanese in some way. So frustrating; I wish this was easier. ><

Sorry for the double-postage but um... I wasn't sure where else to try and post and say hey I'm back-ish after falling into the infinite abyss of life. Been kind of drowning since I moved up to Reno and soooo much has happened. But rather than try to summarize it all right now, which I'd probably give up on and end up not posting period, I just thought I'd start off with... I'm still alive~ ^^;

Good to have you back! And yes, I don't think anyone can blame you for being busy. Are you starting to feel more settled in over there?

Yeah it's definitely a LOT more like home up here now thankfully since I'm only a few months away from the year mark. It's weird to think I've been living on my own for almost that long up here and started out with only one friend I knew. Now I've got tons and even an amazing boyfriend up here too. Plus I've been getting so much Japanese practice and have been officer in clubs; oh and I have a job too! So nuts and impossible to keep up with everything but I'm trying to juggle as best as I can. I think I'm kinda getting the hang of it all at least. Summer is a welcomed break. ^^;

Oh and finally turning 21 today so that's a big deal too probably.

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys! Finals are tomorrow and the day after for me which will mark a year of classes taken up here already too; equally crazy to think about. Then Thursday I get to head back home for 10 days to spend back in Vegas again which will be nice. It'll be the first time my boyfriend Shingo will meet all my friends down there too so really excited for it. (Not to mention the vacation from school and work finally too. XD) I've been going nonstop this whole semester so really looking forward to a break.
